Abstract
It cannot be denied that in this modern era, anything is possible controlled via computers and the internet, and human activity has become much more easy. This gives rise to the term Internet of Things (IoT). connect the device to the internet. IoT developments also have an impact home security. Challenges related to home security include physical door locks which are often lost or duplicated, rusty keys which change the physical condition, and lost physical keys. This research was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of security tools IoT based home. using real-time applications connected to the server Firebase, data is collected from sensors, processed by microcontrollers and additions monitoring, the research also includes safety testing, incltesting keyboard sensors with different OTP codes to assess levels keypad security. Additionally, to evaluate the effectiveness of these sensors, we perform RFID testing by trying different IDs. The data collected shows more use of internal sensors dominant to open the door from the inside. Emergency cards are more commonly used because it is an emergency identity card that is more frequently used compared to registered KTP. KTP which is rarely used as an emergency card, often used as a universal household identity card. Keypads least frequently used because it is more convenient to use an emergency card rather than typing. The security level achieved is 83% for RFID and 90% for keypad.
