Abstract

Breast cancer is the growth of breast cells uncontrolled due to abnormal changes. In East Java breast cancer ranked first in female killers, this is due to a lack of public knowledge about BSE as an early prevention effort. Objective. The purpose of this research is to provide education regarding examinations own breasts (BSE) on early breast cancer detection behavior in Women of Childbearing Age (WUS) in Sukomulyo Gresik Village. The type of research is quantitative, the design used is quasi experiment with a one group pre and post test design. Technique The collection used total sampling with a sample size of 48 respondents. This research uses instruments in the form of questionnaires and checklist sheets. The analysis used is the paired simple t test. From the results of research using the paired simple t test with a p value of 0.000<0.05, where this shows that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. The conclusion is that there are differences in knowledge, attitudes and behavior among WUS after being given education about BSE with a p value of 0.000.
