Abstract

Students are particularly vulnerable to stress. In general, stress is a condition where humans experience feelings of pressure or experience feelings of tension in their lives. In this study, researchers aimed to find out whether casual video games can be used to reduce stress in students of the mathematics education study program at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik. Based on the initial interview conducted, it is known that students of the mathematics education study program at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik fulfill 2 aspects of stress, namely: psychological and biological. This study used a one-group pretest-posttest experimental method using casual video games. From the research sample, 5 research subjects were determined from students of the mathematics education study program at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik. To find out the results of the interventions carried out by researchers using pretest-posttest data analysis using the wilcoxon test. It can be concluded that the casual video game Flower can be used to reduce stress in students of the mathematics education study program at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik.
