Abstract
The construction of fishermen boats from timber has gradually begun to be abandoned. Currently, many fishermen have switched to using fiberglass material against its violence. In this research, fiberglass was treated with three temperature variations, namely hot temperature (51.2°C/22%), normal temperature (29.7°C/64%), and cold temperature (14.8°C/94%). After the temperature treatment process, the fiberglass material is then tested for hardness using the Rockwell HRC hardness test method. The results of the research show that temperature and humidity have an influence on the hardness of fiberglass. The highest hardness value is found at normal temperature, which is 84 HRC. Compared to materials that are treated with hot and cold temperatures. The hardness at hot temperatures is 24 HRC at cold temperatures is 43 HRC.
