Abstract
The development of shipping in the maritime world must be followed by an increase in the quality of transportation equipment. The ship is a means of transportation used in connecting land. Ship care and maintenance is very important. Because the operation of the ship requires conditions that are really good and feasible to sail. replating needs are also really needed and labor in carrying out the repair process carried out. Labor needs at the shipyard are also needed to set a schedule before carrying out repair work. The purpose of this study is to determine the need for man power in the replating process and determine the comparative amount and effectiveness of man power in different shipyards. The results of this study are from all calculations on each man power replating work on frame 34/35 -35/36 lane D or E portside more man power level. The number of comparisons and effectiveness of man power occurs due to data on different gaalngan. Comparison of3 different jobs welder, fitter, and helper occurs in paper 1 data with shipyard data using only welder and fitter, while in paper 2 data using only welder and helper due to different shipyard data collection differences. So further research is needed to calculate the calculation of people hours as a whole.
