Abstract
The use of learning media in the teaching and learning process is an effort to increase the effectiveness of learning, by using learning media that can be adjusted to learning objectives that suit the needs and conditions of students. This study aims to develop the big book animal proliferation Gresik coastal which is seen from the validity and effective. The type of development research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. This type of research uses the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model was developed by Reiser and Mollenda and has 5 stages; Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluations. The results of the study showed that the big book media developed by researchers from media expert validation obtained an average percentage of 92.5% categorized as very valid and effective to use, material expert validation obtained an average percentage of 96% categorized as very valid and effective to use. From the results of data analysis from both validators obtained an average percentage value of 94% categorized as very valid. The success rate of big book media development showed good results through tests/trials reaching 97% "very effective" and the level of interest based on the results of the student response questionnaire obtained an average percentage of 94.5% categorized as very good. It can be concluded that the big book animal proliferation Gresik coastal that has been developed is very feasible and effective to use as a learning media.
