Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of mathematical e-comics as an effort to improve the understanding of the concept of algebraic forms in grade VII. This research is motivated by the underutilization and underdevelopment of digital technology, which helps students understand the concept of algebraic forms in grade VII mathematics. One alternative that can be used is mathematical e-comics. This research method is a Research and Development (R&D) study with a 4D development model. The instruments used are interview sheets, questionnaires, and validation sheets. The results of this research are that the valid criteria for the percentage of media experts is 91.67% with a very valid category, and material experts are 75% with a valid category. The student's test results showed 0,81 in the high category. With the following research results, mathematical e-comics are effective in helping students understand basic algebraic concepts in a more enjoyable and meaningful way.
