Abstract
This study was conducted based on the low level of students' creative thinking ability in learning natural and social sciences in grade 4 at UPT SDN 55 Gresik. One of the contributing factors is the use of inappropriate learning. The solution that is considered capable of improving creative thinking ability is to apply the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in the learning process. This study aims to determine how the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is to determine whetherthere is an effect on the creative thinking ability of grade IV students at UPT SDN 55 Gresik. The type of research used is quantitative with an experimental research method. The variables of this study are the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model as the independent variable and creative thinking ability as the dependent variable. Data collection methods were carried out by observation, interviews and tests. Data analysis used the t-test. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence between the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the creative thinking skills of grade IV students.
