Abstract

As the number of students who come from other areas and other cities to study at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik, with consideration in terms of cost, time and effort they prefer a boarding house as a temporary residence while in Gresik. The number of places that offer boarding, security, cleanliness, distance to campus, room amenities, condition of the building, spacious rooms, room capacity, distance to the shops, and support facilities and various other comfort. So that students will often confused in terms of determining an appropriate temporary shelter for they occupy. Problems in determining the place of boarding options, can be solved by a decision support system using a boarding place recommendations Weighted Product method. FMADM method is used to find the weights of criteria. The mechanism for determining the priority or ranking FMADM is the method of Weighted Product (WP). From the test application consisting of 20 alternatives and 10 criteria Places boarding at Jl Simpang Bengawan Solo No. 25 Randu Agung is the best alternative boarding place with the highest score is 0.0611. Alternative Jl Simpang Bengawan Solo No. 25 Randu Agung was chosen because it has the highest score on the criterion of the lowest value in the profit and cost criteria.
