Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect of variable Cash Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Assets and Return on Equity on dividend policy as measured by Dividend Payout Ratio on companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange with the observation period 2009-2011. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with the data obtained by the publication of Indonesian Capital Market Directory 2011 (ICMD 20110). Obtained a total sample of 28 companies of 135 companies listed on the Stock Exchange. The analysis technique used is multiple regression equation least squares and hypothesis testing using the t-statistic for testing the partial regression coefficients and F-statistics to test the feasibility of influence together with the level of significance of 5%. It also performed classical assumption which include normality test, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity test and Auto ccorelation test. The analysis showed that the variables partially Return on Assets Dividend Payout Ratio affect the company on the Stock Exchange in the period 2009-2011 the level of significance of less than 0.05 or 5%, while the variable Cash Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Return On Equity has no effect the Dividend Payout Ratio. While jointly variable Cash Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Assets and Return On Equity proved significantly affect the company's Dividend Payout Ratio in the Stock Exchange at the level of less than 0.05 or 5%. Predictive ability of the four variables on the House of 0.175 as indicated by the adjusted R square of 17.9% while the remaining 82.5% is influenced by other factors that come from outside the variables studied.
