Abstract

Development of information technology, many libraries today are starting to save Journals thesis than in printed form as well in the form of electronic library. Problems drawn from the study how to apply information retrieval to find the abstract text similar thesis publication query matches the user input using the vector space model (vector space model). Data were tested are as many as 30 thesis abstract thesis abstract data. Testing is done by performing a search query against 5. of each query will be evaluated values of precision and recall to determine the level of performance of the test results are known aplikasi.Dari average value of the application to query precision is 73.75% and 84.54% recall value. While the level of ability of the application to display all the contents of abstracts that are relevant to the query reaches about 81.33%.
