Abstract
Parenting is all forms and processes of interaction that occur between parents and children with certain parenting patterns in the family that will influence the development of the child's personality. Determining the right parenting style based on his personality type without an expert psychologist makes a particular difficulty for parents. By knowing the type of parenting based on Baumrind's theory, it can help facilitate psychologists in determining the type of parenting for parents. This research applies data mining techniques using the Naïve Bayes method to determine the classification of democratic, authoritarian, permissive, and interpretive parenting types. Attributes used were the gender of the parents, the sex of the child, the age of the parents, the age of the child, the last education of the parents, and the score. The data used in this study were obtained from the results of the questionnaire based on the attitude characteristics of Baumrind's theory. The distribution of questionnaires in this study was conducted in two places (Elementary School), the intended respondents were guardians of students (parents) of students in grades 1-3 of Elementary School.
