Abstract
Nursing students before entering the profession stage Ners take the academic stage. In management courses at Ners stage students perform methods of professional nursing care (MAKP). At the academic stage requires appropriate learning methods to achieve the competence of MAKP one of them with role play. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of understanding level of student before and after role play. Research method used pre-test and post test. The population of this study is nursing students Stikes Insan Unggul surabaya A total of 28 students. Data collection by observation, questionnaire and interview. Ordinal data scale, data analysis with SPSS using wilcoxon. Result of research got difference of level of understanding of student before and seduah that is α 0,002. Most levels of student understanding are high after role play methods. Conclusion There are differences before and after the role play method.
