Abstract

Vocational high school graduates are equipped with skills and expertise. However, currently, there is a rapid change in the work environment that requires newcareer skills. It ismanaging them effectively to survive. So,graduates can easily adapt to the work environment.Careeradaptability is needed.The purpose of this study wasto determine: (1) the effect of proactive personality and co-workerssocial supporton career adaptability, (2) the effect of proactive personality on career adaptability, and (3) the effect of co-workers’ social support on career adaptability. This study useda correlational quantitative approachwith25 students asa population.The researcher used a total sampling technique. The method of collecting data from the third variable (career adaptability, proactive personality, and co-workers’ social support)useda questionnaire compiled in the form of a Likert scale. The dataanalysisof the three variables usedmultiple linear regression techniques. Based on the results obtained, there is no effect of proactive personality and co-workers’ social support on career adaptability. There is an effect of proactive personality on career adaptability. There is no effect of co-workers’ social support on career adaptability.The benefit of this research is to enrich thedata information on thepsychology developmentregarding the variables of career adaptability, proactive personality,and co-workers’ social support.The limitation of this study is the lack of subjects.So,future researchers are expected to be able to enhance theresearch subjects and pay more attention to demographic factors
