Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to determine the main components in the fish chain process contained in the Brondong branch of the Nusantara Fisheries Port. The fish chain process is divided into several components, including the fisherman as the party in charge of looking for fish, the unloading party as the party that sorts the type and weight of the fish, the auctioneer as the party offering the fish, and the TPI/KUD personnel as the party that checks and fish distribution. This research is a type of literature study, with sources obtained from literature studies, observations, and interviews with fishermen, TPI/KUD personnel, unloading agents, and auction agents. This study uses an analytical hierarchical process calculation to assess the main components and sub-components. Based on the comparison of the main component scores, it can be seen that the cost component hasthe highest score followed by logistics infrastructure, government, and human resources. Meanwhile, in the main sub-component, namely costs, it can be seen that transportation costs occupy the position of the highest score of 0.315. This shows that in thefish chain process the cost component, especially transportation costs, is the most important thing that must be considered, because these transportation costs include those related to the distribution of production results.
