Abstract
Green mussels belong to the Mytilidae family, species of Perna viridis. Green mussels are filter feeders, accumulating lead levels in water, total bacteria, and organic matter. Is intended to reduce purification is the technique used to cleanse mussels of impurities that are toxic to the mussel organ tissue. This cleansing uses a mini cleansing machine that filters colon contents to separate impurities and prevent decontamination. This research method can be described with a sample, 2 treatments, and 8 replicates. Observed variables were Pb, total bacteria, organic matter, and water quality. The results showed that the tray powder filter showed no evidence of lead metal and the control filter had a Pb content of 9.00 mg/kg and no evidence. A t-test (α = 5%) to determine differences in total bacterial reduction with significantly different results (0.01 * < 0.05). The total bacterial count for the shell powder filter was 116 ± 4.88 x 108 CFU/g and for the control filter was 165.87 ± 14.86 x 108 CFU/g. Organic matter reduction in filter water for mussels was 10.745 mg / L and 6.32 mg / L for control filters. The water quality temperature is 28,75º C-28,79º C, pH 7,15- 7,4 ppm, salinity 28,3-28,9 ppt, DO 6,8-9,1 mg / L, and ammonia 0.17-0.19 mg / L.
