Abstract
The best quality orchid plants require organic materials to be mixed into the tissue culture medium. Organic products such as potato and banana were used in this study. The study aims to find the best MS media mixture and ensure the content of organic elements from potatoes and bananas in MS media in the right amount to help the growth of Dendrobium Sp. Orchid planlets. In this study using a completely randomized design (CRD), bananas and potatoes were mixed into the media. Potato extract with 3 different concentrations: 100 g/L, 150 g/L, and 200 g/L. Banana extract in three concentrations: 20 g/L, 40 g/L, and 60 g/L. There were 9 treatments each and repeated 3 times so there were 27 experimental units. The parameters of this study are plant height, number of leaves, number of roots, and number of buds. The results of the observation data obtained will be processed using F-ANNOVA (Fingerprint Analysis of Variance) to see the observation data and using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level to see if there is a real change in magnification. Plants grew the tallest and had the most leaves in the combination of 20 g/L banana extract and 150 g/L potato extract. The number of roots that grew the most in 150 g/L potato extract and 60 g/L banana. There was no difference in the number of shoots on combined MS media and MS0. The addition of a combination of organic materials has an effect on the enlargement of orchid planlets Dendrobium sp. Pad.
