Abstract

This research aims to describe the factors of difficulty learning mathematics in fraction material in class IV. This research was conducted at MI Muhammadiyah Golokan with a total of 13 students. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection in this research utilized interviews with teachers and students, observations, tests, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this research showed that there were 3 difficulties for students, namely difficulty understanding concepts, difficulty with calculating aspects and difficulty in solving problems. Factors that cause students' learning difficulties consist of internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are factors that originate from the student's personal self. Factors that originate from outside the student's personality are called external factors.
