Abstract
This research aims to reveal the meaning of budget figures from the perspective of managers at PT ABC. The research was conducted using a qualitative method of phenomenological studies. The data used are primary data obtained from direct and in-depth interviews with informants. The results of this study indicate that the budget figures are interpreted by managers at PT ABC as motivation and hope that with this budget the operational needs of their department can be met and as a measure of performance that has been implemented. Moreover, budget figures are also interpreted as a responsibility and performance targets that have been determined by the company.
