Abstract
This study aims to describe students’ mathematical reflective thinking skills viewed from visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This research employed a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were seventh-grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 7 Gresik. The research instrument used was a mathematical reflective thinking ability test designed based on reflective thinking indicators. The results of the study indicate that students’ mathematical reflective thinking skills vary according to their learning styles. Students with an auditory learning style obtained the highest average score of mathematical problem-solving ability at 54.9%, followed by students with a visual learning style with an average score of 50.4%. Meanwhile, students with a kinesthetic learning style showed the lowest average score at 45.5%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the mathematical problem-solving ability of seventh-grade students at UPT SMP Negeri 7 Gresik is still categorized as low, with nearly 85% of students not achieving the school’s Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) of 75. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve students’ mathematical reflective thinking skills through the application of learning models that accommodate students’ learning style characteristics.
