Abstract

Warehouse is a place to store goods. A good warehouse, does not have to be large because it is supported by a good storage system and inventory, the warehouse utilization can be maximized. PT. Anugerah Putra Sanjaya is one of the companies in Gresik that produces board-shaped wood which is divided into 8 types of products. the problem faced by the company at this time is the preparation of inappropriate products. There is a shortage in the initial layout where the initial warehouse arrangement is fixed so that the utilization of product location space cannot be changed even though the location is empty. Allowance The initial layout between irregular storage racks. Solutions that can solve problems using shared storage methods. To apply this method, you must first know the product time that will enter and exit. get shorter moving material handling distance and also does not complicate the operator for the retrieval and data collection process in each month. After collecting and processing data, it can be concluded that the layout of the proposal is shorter than before. The initial mileage is 433.2 m ^ 2. The total distance of the proposed layout is 413 m ^ 2. There is a difference in the value of the total distance of the initial layout and the proposed layout of 20.2 m ^ 2. This concludes that the layout of the proposal can shorten the distance traveled by warehouse employees in retrieving goods so that the time needed to be efficient.
