HAJISAMAAE, ERFAH. 2020. The Effect of POSSE strategy Using Goolge Classroom on students’ Reading Comprehension in Thailand Senior High School. Thesis English Language Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Gresik. (1), Dr, Selamat Asari, M.Pd. (II), Candra Hadi Asmara, M.Pd Keywords: Reading comprehension, POSSE strategy, Google classroom Reading is one of English skills that should be mastered by the student. They have to read their hand book or other materials written in English related to their lesson. Reading will be effective when the readers combine their background knowledge with the information from the text. This study aims to investigate the significant effect of POSSE strategy using Google classroom in students' reading comprehension between experiment and control group. Quasi experimental design of research was applied due the condition of the subject. The sample based on the students’ ability in reading comprehension, there are XI A class and XI B class and every class consists of 43 students. Then, the researcher divided the students into two groups experimental and the control group. The experimental group is A class and B class because the students had the equal characteristics in the average score of the previous semester. The result showed that there was significant difference between experimental group and control group. The result of sig. (2- tailed) is 0.001. The sig. (2-tailed) is lower than 0.05 (0.001<0.05). So, null hypothesis (Ho) can be rejected. It means that POSSE strategy using Google classroom significantly effects the students' reading comprehension.
