Abstract

Abstract: The Relationship Between Noise Intensity and Work Stress in Production Workers Ice Cube Factory in Lamongan. Indonesia is ranked 9th as the most stressful country in the world, one of which is due to the noise work environment factor from production equipment. The research to analyze the relationship between noise intensity and work stress on workers in the ice block factory production in Lamongan. This type of quantitative research is observational analytic with a cross sectional research design. The research was conducted at an ice block factory in Lamongan. The research sample consisted of 30 workers in the ice block factory production in Lamongan. The sampling technique uses a total sampling technique and uses a Sound Level Meter measuring instrument and a Survey Diagnostic Stress questionnaire. The results of noise measurements in the production section obtained a value of 91.2 dB(A) which exceeded the threshold value and 22 workers (73%) experienced mild stress and 8 workers (27%) experienced severe stress. The data analysis technique used the Sormers'd test and obtained a p value of 0.004. Based on the results of the study, there is a relationship between noise intensity and work stress in workers in the production section of the ice block factory in Lamongan. It is expected that the company will make efforts to control noise in the workplace, provide ear protection to workers and carry out regular health checks such as hearing checks and provide training to increase worker knowledge.
