Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused an economic recession and has had a negative impact on many entrepreneurs, causing a decrease in income and even threatening to go out of business. However, this did not apply to Fauza Beauty's business which actually experienced an increase in revenue in its business. This study aims to determine the impact of the Covid-19 recession on Fauza Beauty's business, how the business strategy used by Fauza Beauty to increase revenue during the Covid-19 recession with SOSTAC analysis, and find out how the business model canvas on Fauza Beauty's business. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research was conducted with 1 Owner, 1 Supplier, 2 Competitors and 5 Customers of Fauza Beauty on Jl. Dr. Sutomo No. 10, Ngipik Village, Gresik Regency, using data collection methods of observation, interviews, and data analysis. The results showed that the Covid-19 recession conditions did not have much impact on Fauza Beauty. In addition, the results obtained regarding the strategies used by selling products that customers want, using Instagram social media and providing satisfying services. The results of the study also found the identification of Fauza Beauty's business model canvas. This research can be used as a reference for entrepreneurs in determining business strategies during similar recessionary conditions and the results of the identification of the business model canvas can help Fauza Beauty in determining new strategic innovations. This research has limitations only on the identification of strategies that have been used by Fauza Beauty during the Covid-19 recession conditions have not yet reached a new strategy for Fauza Beauty during the current conditions.
