Abstract

Reading is defined as pronunciation of words, identifying words and searching for meaning from a text. Reading begins from the outer structure of the language visible to the visual ability to gain meaning embedded in the structure in the language. In other words, reading means using an inner structure to interpret the outer structure consisting of words in a text. The thing that becomes crucial in reading is an error in the pronunciation of words called reading error. The error occurs when we are wrong in pronouncing the word correctly. Reading errors in reading can lead to errors in interpreting words. Based on that, a system is needed to identify reading error on reading and correction process on reading error. The Standards for registered training model is used in this study to help correct reading error in a paragraph. This study focuses on voice data so it is easier in the process of reading error assessment. In this study, the authors use voice data directly connected to the "Google" database. so google will detect where the user application location "reading error detector". in this application in the author divides into 3 parts namely: phrases, sentences, and paragraphs. this application is developed in android so it can be used anytime and anywhere. from the results of research shows the value of reading error detector is 4.37. this is certainly a reading error detector indispensable with to help students learn to read properly.
