Abstract
This purpose of study is found out the significant influence of Pre-Questioning on the Reading Comprehension Achievement of the Eighth Grade Students at Mts Muhammadiyah 9 Weru Paciran. To attain this purpose, the researcher used pre-experimental design. The researcher has done his research at MTs Muhammadiyah 9 weru Paciran from December 1st until 7th 2013. The subject was eighth grade consist of twenty three students. They were including the best class from that school. The instrument that used to collect data reading comprehension test to got the score of student reading comprehension. The test was 32 items multiple choices. Before the instrument ready to tested, the researcher used validity and reliability to known the item that should be deleted or not. After got the item that ready to test researcher used valid 20 items. The finally researcher tested 20 item at MTs Muhammadiyah 9 Weru Paciran to got the score in pretest and posttest. Based on the result of data analysis, researcher showed that there was significant influence of used pre-questioning strategy on reading comprehension achievement. The result mean score before the researcher has given treatment the score was 50,00 and after he has given treatment the score was 61,73. The score after treatment was higher than before treatment. It means that there was increasing reading comprehension score after treatment have done. The significant value sig (2-tailed) 0,00, the value was under of 0,05. The null hypothesis could be rejected so the alternative hypothesis could not be rejected. The conclusion was there is enough evident to conclude that there was significant influence on using pre-questioning in teaching reading comprehension of the Eighth Grade Students at Mts Muhammadiyah 9 Weru Paciran. There three suggestions from researcher those are; (1) for teacher should be use pre-questioning strategy before teaching reading; (2) the student need to recognize the kinds of text and make it analyze by skimming and the explanation deeply; (3) the next researcher should made the research in different subject in different habit, in order to the result was valid and accountable research. The last conclusion, after treatments have done the researcher gets changes the reading skills of students at MTs Muhammadiyah 9 Weru Paciran. This is influence of pre-questioning strategy that given by researcher. We can know the influence because the researcher analyzed the change
