Abstract
This study described about developing reading material by using Autoplay Media for Junior High School at Mts. Muhammadiyah 9 Wotan. This school is chosen because the students need to have new and fresh media of teaching and their expectation toward computer. It means they need a new media of teaching learning to increase their interest in reading skill. This study described about developing reading material by using Autoplay Media for students of Junior High School at the seventh grade. Before developing the material, the researcher needed to do some instruments; the researcher gave questionnaire to the students. There were eighteen students joined in the questionnaires, the data to analyze are course book, syllabus and LKS and the result of interview the teacher. There were eleven question sheets were given to the teacher. The researcher developed the material in second semester. There are four topics that have been developed by the researcher they are; label & list, personal character of people, animal & thing, Instruction, Short notice and warning, descriptive text. There were some videos as complement and exercises that are formed in this exercise they are: crossword, fill blank question, make a sentence, multiple choice question, and matching practices. The form of Autoplay here was in CD ROM, it was combining of audio video and hot potatoes application. This study was passed some steps of development; need analysis, design, development, expert validation, development of validation, try out, revision and final product. In the need analysis the researcher has given the questionnaire, analyzed the data and gave interview. The next step was design; the researcher tried to make an interesting appearance when product displayed, by making unique sound button, fresh page background and others. The next step was development; the researcher developed the syllabus of curriculum 2013 and the material of reading. The next step was expert validation; the researcher has two experts of validation who checks for material and other check for the design of product. In development of validation the researcher must found the component that must be revising from the expert validation. In the try out material, the researcher runs the test in Mts. Muhammadiyah 2 Wotan. The last was final product, when the product has perfect, the interactive reading material can be ready to apply in 7th grade of junior high school. This study was hoped not only can be useful for the researcher or the teacher. This is also can be useful for students, school and the next researcher. It can be useful for school in extracurricular and for the next researcher it can be useful for doing another research
