Abstract
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik melalui model kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi bangun ruang di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Cerme. Populasi penelitian adalah kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Cerme tahun pelajaran 2018/2019, sedangkan sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VIII- F sesuai dengan arahan dari guru matematika. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode tes. Metode tes digunakan untuk mendapatkan data tentang nilai tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik di kelas VIII F SMP Negeri 2 Cerme setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD sebanyak 6 peserta didik memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat tinggi sebanyak 19,35%, 13 peserta didik mempunyai kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi sebanyak 41,94%, dan 9 peserta didik mempunyai kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang sebanyak 29,03%, serta 3 peserta didik mempunyai kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah sebanyak 9,68%. Kata kunci : kemampuan berpikir kritis, STAD, bangun ruang ABSTRACT This research is a quantitative descriptive study which aims to describe the mathematical critical thinking skills of students through the STAD type cooperative model in the material of building space in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Cerme. The research population was class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Cerme in the 2018/2019 academic year, while the research sample was class VIII-F according to the direction of the mathematics teacher. The data collection method used is the test method. The test method is used to obtain data about the critical thinking ability test scores. Based on the results of data analysis, students' critical thinking skills in class VIII F of SMP Negeri 2 Cerme after using the STAD learning model as many as 6 students had very high critical thinking skills of 19.35%, 13 students had high critical thinking skills of 41, 94%, and 9 students had moderate critical thinking skills of 29.03%, and 3 students had low critical thinking skills of 9.68%.
