Abstract
Education of a country shows the human resource of the country. Indonesia is a country which its education is still low than other country. The government tries to develop the education of our country to be better and hope the Indonesian students can compete in international world. By those reasons, the government makes an education program that is International Schools with purpose to have the graduations who can communicate in English and have international ability so they can work in international department. In the first five years the school is still as pioneer of international school. For being an international school, the government has some items that must be completed by the schools. Those items are curriculum, learning process, phasing grade standard, educators, facilities and infrastructure, finance and evaluation. The subjects of this study were elementary schools which implemented the program for three years, the principals and the teachers of the schools who have taught for three years. The findings of this study was described and classified into two parts based on the research questions. This present study is intended to know the implementation of International School at elementary level in Gresik and to find out the programs that the schools have to support the implementation of Pioneer of International School. Based on the result of the data analysis, the researcher found that the implementation of International School was needed much money for getting an international curriculum, test, reference books, training for the teachers and provided facilities. The second result was the supporting programs of the Pioneer of International Schools for the students were Daily Conversation, English Camp, Pre-School, Gate Password, Class Password, English Day and Giving Knowledge. The supporting programs of the Pioneer of International Schools for the teachers were English Day, Taking Course, English Learning and Training. The Pioneer of International Schools worked hardly in adapting and implementing the curriculum, English 100% in the learning process, choosing the educators who have ability in delivering the lessons in English, the expensive final examination, Completing Facilities (PC, LCD, Projector, Auditorium, Clinic, Administration Space, Laboratory, Sports facilities) and getting the source of funds. Hopefully the schools will be better in learning process and the usage of ICT will be more regular.
