Meanwhile, their high and low score can be influenced by the learning strategy. The problems of the research are the students often asked to memorize vocabularies at home as homework, moreover the students rarely used a game and never conducted learning English process outclass. It caused them less motivated to learn English. So, the teacher was worry if they would get the score less than 75, or under passing grade. At the beginning, they got average score in pre-test 55, 58 improved in post test, they got average score 86, 76. It showed that all students achieved passing grade 75, and (2) the students’ participation in teaching learning process maximally got more than 75% during the action research was implemented in each meeting. The research finding showed that the researcher used Engklek as a strategy by drawing 3 Engklek patterns on the schoolyard. Then, the researcher putted 24 vocabularies or pictures on Engklek patterns which each consisted of 8 squares. The researcher conducted 3 meetings and students played individual and group. A student read and listened 24 times repeating in each meetingwhen they had been playing. It showed that Engklek was effective to teach vocabulary for the fifth grade students at MI.
