Abstract

This study was to know the significant influence of “Dictotell” on students speaking skill or not between experimental group and control group. This study was conducted in MA YASMU MANYAR Gresik. The design of this study was quasi-Experimental design. The data was collected from pre-test and post-test as the instrument. After got the data, the researcher analyzed the data by using SPSS 15.0 program. The researcher found that the probability value of both groups were 0,000. It was less than the level of significance 0,05 (0,000<0,05).It indicated that there was significance influence between students who were taught by using “Dictotell” and students who were not taught by using “Dictotell”. So, it can be concluded that the use of “Dictotell” was effective to improve the student’s speaking skill at grade senior high school. The last, the researcher suggest to the English teacher that this study can be an alternative teaching method for grade senior high school to improve the student’ speaking skill and create an enjoy learning situation so the students will not be bored and have a big chance to practice their english in the class.
