Abstract

PT. XYZ is the companies following the industrial revolution 4.0. however, during its construction there are still frequent local area network failures, especially in the area of building C PT. XYZ. Therefore this research was conducted to analyze the existing condition of the local area network infrastructure system where problems often occur in terms of connection or network availability, so that in the end it can help PT. XYZ in managing and maintaining local area network infrastructure to make it better. This research was conducted using the FMEA and PDCA methods, because the FMEA method has the ability to analyze potential failures with a priority scale at three stages, namely SOD. organized. From the research results, there are 3 causes, namely: difficult to print effu and choose a job, difficult to access the server, and reduced data packets from the server to the client. It is necessary to correct this problem using the PDCA method, starting from August 2022 to November 2022. Followed by evaluating the results which were carried out from November 2022 to January 2023, there have been many reductions in local area network failures in the area of building C PT. XYZ, for cases of failure to print effu and select a job decreased by 61.5%, for cases of failure difficult to access the server experienced the largest decrease with a value of 77.1%, and for cases of failure of data packets server to client decreased decreased by 57.1%.
